Meet John
John King is a Country Music Artist and Songwriter who found a way to blend his love for camping and family life with his career. When he’s traveling to shows, he and his family use their Cruiser MPG travel trailer as a home away from home and an oasis for creative inspiration.
Describe your camping style
Family-centered, career-driven driven and spontaneous! We love to plan trips that last several weeks at a time and allow us to see diverse landscapes and national landmarks. These are our favorite ways to make memories together! Oh and you can count on me having my guitar with me no matter where we go!

What is something that always lifts your spirits?
The outdoors, time with my family and music! All of these things make a bad day great for me in the blink of an eye!

What is your preferred type of camping?
We really love the privacy of either National Parks or boondocking. The sweet spot for us is a nice, spacious federal park campground with hookups. Boondocking can be a lot of work but it’s worth it!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever given or received?
Double-check once, twice, and then one more time! You can never be too careful before you leave for a trip, especially when towing a massive camper. It’s always best to check your straps, tires, hookups, etc. a few times before heading out!

What is your travel philosophy?
Don’t be in so much of a hurry to get where you’re going that you miss where you’re at.

Mountain Views RV Resort, Colorado
This RV resort located in Creede is owned by an amazing family and has all kinds of activities for kids of all ages. The views are unbelievable and we are excited to perform at their Fourth of July show this year!
Yosemite National Park
Yosemite is hard to beat. You’ve probably seen the pictures but it’s so much better in person. The hiking and the views are simply unmatched.
Arches National Park
When we stayed here, we couldn’t believe that our campsite was right behind the skyline arch..it was unreal.
Glacier National Park
Our trip there was something we’ll talk about forever in this family. Just unreal. You’re probably catching onto the fact that we love nature and a good scenic view.
